Do you have social recreational facilities?

My mom is home alone a lot and gets depressed. She needs something where she can interact with others moreso than for medical problems. I am not sure if this is the right place; if not, could you tell me where to start? She doesn't drive anymore and her hearing, vision, walking and speaking abilities have diminished although she does not have dementia or alzheimers, she's just lonely and I have to work during the day. Thank you.

BonnyW,

We are a national website for family caregivers, not a facility itself. You might want to check a local church or community organization. They may have some social recreational activities.

Also, Adult Day Care is a great place to send elders to get some social interaction as well as daily activities and fun. Check out these following articles on Adult Day Care!
