We live in Florida and are putting my mom on icp until we can transfer her to assisted living facility. How long before there is money in the diversion program?
And will she keep her social security income. How long does the process of getting her on diverson take once she has icp
Generally on Medicaid-related programs, if the recipient goes into a care facility, the SS or pension checks go to the facility, with a small amount retained by the recipeint. If the recipient is getting in-home care the recipient keeps the income, unless it it above guidelines, in which there may be a "spend down" amount to be paid out of the income. I don't know how it specifically works in Florida, but perhaps the Department of Aging helpline could answer your questions.
my question was will my mom be able to keep her social security income after going on the medicaid diversion program and does anybody know when there will be money inthe program
