I live in Virginia and My Mother Lives in Massachusetts. Is that a problem with me trying to get her help?

I am trying to do everything I can to help my mother who lives in Massachusetts. I live in Virginia. She is in a nursing home right now but I do not like the care she is receiving. She has diabetes and has problems with wounds on her legs. She is not getting proper care or this would not keep happening as frequently as it is.
I would like to see if I can get her moved to another place where she will get the care she needs.
