It was a fairly straightforward extraction and she was given oral sedatives during the procedure. She has not felt like herself since the procedure and the dentist says there are no visible signs of infection and it is healing well. Any ideas what could be causing this lingering lethargy and flu-like symptoms?

Maybe she had a bad reaction to the sedatives. (I have no idea if that is possible/likely.)
I'd take her to see her primary care provider.
