My wife has moderate dementia and cries. How can I slow this down?

The only suggestion I can make beyond what Jeanne offered is to let your wife know that you are there for her. A hug goes a long way when someone is sad and frightened.

Have you discussed this night crying with the doctor who is treating her dementia? Is she being treated for depression?
