Should the POA give me an accounting of Mom's money?

As some of you may recall, sister is POA over Mom, her money, her health, and her life. Sister handles all of Mom's money. Should sister be giving me, the non-POA an accounting of the money. And how often, once a year, once a month? But as you also may recall POA is very stubborn and won't do it anyway.You would think she would want to give me an accounting to protect herself. Is it required that she do so?

in certain cases you can require a checking accout to be opened with all the siblings names on it. only the poa can write checks but all siblings get a monthly statement... i dont know how toinstitute that but i know it exists..

It would be nice if she did, but I don't think it is required under law. Your sister does have to keep records to show the courts that money is being used correctly. However, I am not aware of a list of people that are required to have access to the records. Other people may know more about this.

Do you think that your sister is not using your mother's money wisely? Or do you just want to know if your mother will have enough?
