Has anyone had Hospice Crisis Care at their home, to help when loved one is dying?

The Hospice team has told me that nurses can come for three days in 12 hour shifts, when a loved one is actively dying.
My father-in-law is in such denial, I think that would scare him to no end. He actually thinks he is going to live til his 100's!
What in the world would I tell him?
Thanks

Both of my parents were in a nursing home when they died, but they had hospice care. Even though accepting that they were dying was difficult for them, they were in so much less pain that they knew it was worth it.

Hospice personnel are trained to deal with people in denial and they generally do it well. I'd encourage you to go with it.
Take care,
Carol
