Is there anyone with experience in having a dear one with Exelon Patch and/or Alois?

Hello dear caregivers friends and companions of solitude. My wife very recently has being diagnosed with moderate Alz by two docs, one is an internal medicine spec. ad the other a neurologist.
The internist has indicated the Alois and the other the patch. I am in doudt of what to do.
I believe that any medicine willl have only the efect (perhaps) of slowing the efects of the disease, there is nothing to stop it.
So, it does not matter? Either one? Both? None?
