Can a sibling override a decision made by a niece who has POA?
MY mother has altheimer's and my daughter has poa would any of my four older siblings be able to prevent her from make decisions with regards to my mother
Yes, Palmer offers a good start. Others can legally contest or appeal any decision made that they perceive not in the best interest of the person. It can be legally pursued but will need substantiated.
If you anticipate, be sure every decision or any finances, assets, etc are clearly documented up front. If you are spending or investing any of moms assets make sure you have we'll documented transactions and receipts for everything evenness the smallest receipt. A pain -- but best protection.
I don't know family situation, but you may even want to have/Agee on an annual disclosure to siblings so everyone is happy and preserve the peace.
