Trying to find EEE wide shoes for my senior mother, but there aren't a lot of choices out there. Any suggestions?

Search "Medicare Shoe Store". These shoe stores will carry all kinds of widths and can properly fit mom's foot - orthotics or not so she won't get blisters. In an ideal world, you would be able to get mom into the store in person for a fitting. Ask if they have a Pedorthist on staff and make an appointment with that person.

A google on "EEE Women's shoes" turned up a ton of options for online stores.

Here in MN we have a store called Schuller's and they had EEE wide boiled wool ankle booties with a wide velcro closure that I got my mom. A very sturdy slip-proof bottom. I must have done something good the day I bought them
because they were on clearance for under $30! I almost yelled "yippee!!!!" out loud.

Mom is 88 and has a wide foot with arthritis. We got her a shoe that is elastic, the Easy Spirit Abide shoe and it comes in WW width. Amazon has a Yoursclothing shoes that come in EEE width.

Jessie, the best shoes ever I found for my mom were dr schools , Velcro, lightweight and came in black, white, gray and pink. I bet we are probably talking about the same shoes! think I found them in Payless and Walmart. Mom was at inpatient physical therapy and the therapist ask me to take one off and pass around so the others in the room could see the correct shoes they should be wearing. I didn't dare tell her where we bought them.

I was recently at my local SAS store with my dad when a lady came in with her daughter. The mom needed EEE and they told her that they had 2 styles with Velcro closures. I would also recommend trying SAS.

Google "SAS Shoes", this company has a nice selection of different widths... roam around the website, I think they have some styles with Velcro closures. The shoes are expensive but they hold up a lot better then cheaper shoes. This brand is the only brand I buy, I have the opposite problem with very narrow feet.

It is such a problem finding shoes, so I know what you're talking about. My mother has big swollen feet, extra wide and extra thick with hammer toes. I call them Barney Rubble feet. She insists on thin soles with little heel, so all of her shoes are more like slippers. The good thing about it is the style she prefers is inexpensive. If I remember right, two pair that I bought from her are Dr. Scholl's. They are casual shoes, but look okay for Sundays.
