Mom was told by neurologists that she has dementia, one says Parkinson's dementia, the other says Alzheimer's dementia?
Now from what I have learned on this site she also has showtimers during the day then goes into sundowners at nite! Is this all possible She is also starting to get mean with me any sugestions would be deeply appreciated1
It certainly is possible. I don't know if she can have both Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, but I guess it's possible. As time passes, they will probably be able to tell better what she really has.
You have a hard road ahead of you. What kind of relationship do you have with her? As a caregiver, you will need lots of compassion and lots of self-preservation and a real sense of humor.
Is the neurologist a specialist in geriatrics? That would be a big help to you to have that kind of expertise.
