My 83 year old dad was put in the mental ward they put him on seroquel 25 mg 3times a day. Will he ever come out of sleep state?

He's home now all he does is sleep. my 83 year old dad was put on seroquel.we brought him home from the hospital its like he wont wake up.he opens his eyes and closes them right back, keeps them closed while we feed and change him.he has been off the seroquel for days but just lays there. Will he ever come out of this sleep state???
