Does Medicaid pay for Oncologist visits in the nursing home?

Dad has liver and right kidney cancer. The nursing home doesn't seem to know what they are doing when it comes to caring for and treating him while he has these cancers. I asked if they have an Oncologist that visits the residents when needed and she said no. My question is will medicaid pay for dads visit to an Oncologist if I make an appointment with one? He has medicaid in the nh. My family would like to know what stage he's at, what to expect as the cancers progress and how long he has left.

If he's not on hospice, I don't see why not. But he may need to go to the doctor, in an ambulance if necessary. Push back against the bureaucracy!
