I have needed glasses to see medium to small numbers and symbols due to them running together and being blurred.

I have needed reading glasses for about 15 years and have a script to for reading from a short distant. I have noticed for a week or so that, when I look at the tv to read any information all the letters and numbers are crystal clear for quite awhile. Just after a short time it goes back to being blurred and I need my glasses. I have had floaters for close to 15 years but only around 10 years for the eye script. Has anyone else had this happen and does it last longer or just go away.

If it is only for the last week or so, you need to discuss this with your Doctor ASAP and DO NOT DRIVE until you know whether this is caused by medication, glaucoma or even mini-strokes.

You want to go to an ophthalmologist, a type of MD, to make sure the insides of your eyes are all right. I have TONS of floaters, which are "clear" but make things blurry. For me, at first things are blurry, but I shake my head and they clear up.

Your vision is VITAL. Go into debt if you have to to make sure your eyes are taken care of. Just my opinion.

I tried some "vision therapy," which was expensive and only helped a little, but I am extremely myopic.

Yes, I had the same problem but my doctor at Killeen Vision Source gave me a vision therapy and I no longer face the problem. I would suggest you to consult an optometrist.

hairybear,
Have you gone to the eye doctor to get your eyes thoroughly checked, or might it be a problem with not being able to afford the 'tests' or purchasing of the glasses?? My mom had several pairs of glasses that cost a pretty penny, so I'm just trying to find out where to donate them.
P.S. I have vision issues as well, have worn 'store bought' glasses because for right now, I can not afford the cost to fill a prescription (and have even though about 'reusing a pair of my mom's frames' and just pay for the lenses). Hope you get your vision checked and the glasses that you need, SOON.
