A family member thinks a caregiver is stealing money from her mom. What can happen in this situation?
a family member thinks a caregiver is stealing money from her mother because the mother cashed a couple of pay checks for her care giver what can legally happen in this situation
the checks are not bouncing! and the mother offered to help the caregiver because she had lost her id and couldnt get them cashed any where else. an the care giver was unaware that this was against company policy, the company isnt very well at going over procedures at the time they hire you they just throw you out there basicly an then when you screw up and something goes wrong they say well we gave you that packet to read when you were hired did you not read it?
Tell the mother she is not a bank - the caregiver can get it cashed legally elsewhere. Also inform the caregiver that this is grounds for losing her job if she asks the mother again.
I'm wondering why the mother has enough cash on hand to be cashing anyone's paychecks.
The caregiver's checks presumably got deposited in the mother's account, so it should be a fairly straight-forward explanation and proof. Along with the explanation the caregiver should apologize and promise not to cause such a confusing situation again.
