HMO is the medical insurance. Are you looking for Long Term Care insurance, as an aide in recovery? Not sure if a policy can be bought to cover something which is already imminent, read the policy carefully.
The new affordable care act has deductibles of 6000 for individual and the only way to covert those amounts are with supplements insurances like hospital, accidental, critical illness. With mobility problems & needing caretaking, she's likely 65+ ?
So this confusing...if someone has elected an HMO, then THAT IS their insurance, and they would not even be eligible to obtain a supplemental.
Please post additional details in order to get more accurate information.
