My client is several years younger than me. I've never seen this kind of suffering for such a long, long time. It just doesn't seem to take a break. The latest slap, for her, came from her insurance company. She went to the ER one night feeling like she was close to losing consciousness, and they gave her the diagnosis of "GERD and acid reflux" so the claim was denied. $10,000 later... yikes. Curious if anyone else has experience with this often misunderstood disorder. It's not "aging" care, but it is becoming more and more "care". Some days she's too weak to turn back the covers on her own bed. She is under the care of a very well-known Lyme Disease physician (naturopathic) and we have hope - but it's a long process. We recently watched the documentary 'Under Our Skin', which actually gave her LESS hope and made her cry.
