Anyone ever cared for someone with chronic Lyme disease?

My client is several years younger than me. I've never seen this kind of suffering for such a long, long time. It just doesn't seem to take a break. The latest slap, for her, came from her insurance company. She went to the ER one night feeling like she was close to losing consciousness, and they gave her the diagnosis of "GERD and acid reflux" so the claim was denied. $10,000 later... yikes. Curious if anyone else has experience with this often misunderstood disorder. It's not "aging" care, but it is becoming more and more "care". Some days she's too weak to turn back the covers on her own bed. She is under the care of a very well-known Lyme Disease physician (naturopathic) and we have hope - but it's a long process. We recently watched the documentary 'Under Our Skin', which actually gave her LESS hope and made her cry.

I would suggest a good Neurologist who has experience with MS and ALS. There are strong links from Lyme to ALS and it is treatable before it gets that far. go to NIH.gov for more information

I am all for hollistic medicine, but I would rather take my chances with an antibiotic like doxycycline.

I served at a health center for natural assistance with health issues in Sweden when a young lady came for a weekend. She healed herself from Lymes Disease using 2 cloves of finely mashed garlic mixed in the juice of a lemon 3 x a day. She walked in nature, took hot and cold showers, with all praying for God's healing power. She was healed within few months. May this be of some help to you.
