Does Veterans Assistance offer any financial assistance to caregivers?

My mom is the widow of a WW2 veterian. My dad lost his leg in the war. He passed away 30 years ago. My mom is now 90 suffering from the nerve damage from shingles. She had her gall bladder removed in Nov. had complications. She can still function on her own but needs constant assistance. I do not want to put her in a nursing home. I want to stay home & give her the love & assistance she needs. I really need to work but I can not do both. Is there any financial assistance I can apply for to stay home & care for my mom.
