Can I get life insurance if I'm disabled?

I am 51 years old (male) and recently disabled for severe spinal stenosis in which I have had recent spinal fusion. I am seeking a term life insurance policy. Many companies do not insure disabled although I do not think my disability will shorten my life span. Does anyone know of a company that provides insurance to the disabled?

Sorry to hear that. Depending on where you live there are company's that sell life insurance with no questions asked. Like Pam said, most of them have a maximum of 25,000 benefit and are a little more expensive.

Talk to an independent agent who represent several companies. If you feel too pressured..find another agent. Fill out an app and try. AN experienced agent can be very helpful. If your condition does not affect life expectancy, you may get approved. Use an experienced independent rep. Good luck.

Sorry honey, but once you fall into one of their categories, the most you will get is $25K with a high premium. You may not think it will shorten your life span, but they look at the claims ratio data for any condition and base the premium on that.
