I provide care for mom through council on aging. I'm paid however, they want to have a agency hire me. Advice?
I really dont want to work for an agency, and mother does'nt want a stranger in the home. Is there another service or agency that I could inquire about. Thank you for your time.
You are paid through an agency because Medicare will cover the cost of agency care, but they will not pay you directly. There won't be strangers in the home, just you. It's a way to get aid, don't turn it down.
