Am I still eligible for health care benefits if I served in army with honorable discharge?

I served overseas for 1year. I served in the regular ARMY 1976-1979. I received a Honorable discharge . My discharge papers are Honorable under general conditions. Under those conditions I was wondering if I qualify for any benefits benefits? Thank you

Depends where you were and what you worked with. It won't hurt to give your local VA center a call. Very often veterans worked outside of combat but were still exposed to ordnance that had long-term effects.

I served during the same years , fought in the great hash wars in deutchland . the va provides my health care because my income is so sporatic. the va hospitals have transformed into a stunning model of efficiency to handle the heavy traffic. they have sure been good to me.
