flavourset, unless an estate is substantial or the heir not in direct line for inheritance, there are no estate taxes any more. Even if the estate is huge, if you were the person to inherit the furniture, you can donate it. I don't see any problem there. Unless the furniture is collectible, I don't think its value would be considered.

pamstegman, thanks for trying to answer however, you misunderstood the question, if the proper inheritor of the deceased possessions and executor of the deceased's will wants to donate furniture to a non profit hospice are the donations tax deductible.,
