Why is it important to only have one POA for a family member? I thought it would be better if the two people who love her would work together. what are the thoughts of one for health and one for finances? just asking ?
One for health and one for finances is fine, especially if they work together. But two? What if you don't agree on a particular decision? BOTH have to sign off. It really isn't a lot better than not having a POA in that situation.
If they work together, it is just fine. But if you go to the Money and Legal tab, and click on POA and Guardianship, you will see a myriad of questions from people who shared POA and it did not work well. Ideally you have an RN in the family for the medical side and an MBA for the financial. LOL it doesn't happen very often.
