As I have recently posted my brother is my father's POA. I live with my father and have been the one managing his accounts with my father's full knowledge. My Dad is in Rehab and as soon as he was out of the house my brother closed all of his accounts and he is the only one that has access. He also plans on selling his house. My father has asked me repeatly to see his bank statement which I no long have access to. I have told my Dad that they have not come in the mail yet. I do not like lying to him. He now suspects that I am not being honest with him and thinks maybe I am doing something "fishy" as he puts it. I finally told him that brother is now managing his money. He was not happy about it and called another brother to complain. Anyways, my family has threaten me not to tell my father what is going on. Does my father have the right to know the truth? Obviously, my father did not fully understand what a POA is and what they can do.

I don't know why your family is threatening you and that alone would raise a big red flag. Be honest with your Dad and contact a lawyer today!
