Does everyone need a valid state identification no matter what age or life stage they are in?

I made a double appoint at the DMV, for Mom and aunt. Mom was too weak to go, and finally decided I can't take both at the same time anymore - too physically hard on me to transport em. Senior citizens can get free ID. Aunt is done. Someone told me that if Mom is too weak, DMV can have someone come out with camera and do the whole thing at her bedside!!!! I never knew that! Im going to try to make her go to DMV, with an appointment, but if it doesn't work out, I will have them go to her, if possible...
