How do you address old people staring at your spouse?

venkatnar, guess it depends on the physical/mental condition of the elder as to why they are staring. Maybe it is something your spouse is wearing.... maybe it is something your spouse said that made the elder think of something similar in the past.... maybe your spouse is extremely handsome or beautiful so it is natural to stare.... or maybe the elder is just zoned out and not actually staring for staring sake. I wouldn't say anything, just let it go.

Well, I know how I used to do it. My hubby was 25 years older than I. When we went to the grocery store (where it most often happened), we'd be standing in line and some biddy would overhear our conversation, realize that we were together, and give us a look of total disapproval.
