My husband cannot get in the bathtub. Is there any help with converting it to a shower?

nope. home improvements are not funded by anybody. Ask the MD to order a bath aide for him.

I know I plan to remodel my bathroom, take out the tub and put in a stand up shower with built in seat.... it's coming out of my own pocket.
