Can I remove Mom from rehabilitation center as I am satisfied with her improvement?

After my mother was put in rehabilitation for short term memory loss. Can I take her home any time or can the facility tell me no?

If you act against doctors orders Medicare and Medicaid may not pay the bill. Be sure you do not move her against doctors orders

Try it for 3 days at a time, before removing her.

I just got the second answer of who sent her to the rehab, I asked that she would be in rehab because the first time over one year ago she snapped right back in 19 day's, but she was having knee problem's and just normal short term memory loss but long term seems to be fine! she was having trouble with putting on a diaper because of her knee surgery!

she has begining stages of Dementia but she has responded to medication variation well, they said she was improving and her doctor ordered her an hospital bed for home and when my wife had mentioned a bedside pot, the therapist said she wouldn't need one. And after talking with my mother she was only concerned about when she could come home! We moved into a nice condo before she was placed in rehab and we had chosen this home as it would fit her needs, such as the bathroom is 4 feet from her bedroom door. Also the bed is ready for delivery same day! Oh and thank you

Who sent her there? If it was via a court order or protective custody document, don't move her. Even if it was a doctor's order, taking her out without medical clearance can cause a lot of problems.

I think we need more information. What is the cause of her short term memory loss? Does she have other physical or mental impairments? What do the therapists at the rehab say in terms of when they think she'll be ready for discharge?
