Any advice about the Older American Act for custodial care?

In south Beloit, IL. area. I have limited funds but need assistance. Live in home and have doctor in roscoe, il. area. right on state line of il/wis. live without 24hr assistance and it may come to need custodial care where medicare is not providing where to go ?

If you mean a Nursing Home, all of them are obliged to help you find financial aid. The AOA (area on aging) can send a social worker to check on her, to make an initial determination of what level of care she needs, Assisted Living, Nursing Home, Memory Care. Then you dig up five years of her financial records for the Medicaid application. If she is refusing to move to a care home, then you pursue a court order based on incapacity "Petition for Guardianship" and the Judge gives you the power to move her whether she likes it or not.

to pam...... thank you for your answer.... do you know with whom I could speak to find answers to finding custodial care...... I seem to get the "pass the buck" attitude whenever I call an agency ........ no direct info is provided.
