My Mom's taking Risperdol, I just learned it is an a typical, anti-psychotic and the government is concerned. Should I have been informed?

Were you informed of when it was first prescribed and why? Do you have periodic care meetings at which her care is reviewed? As medical PoA, I have asked to be informed of any med changes that are proposed, I go over her meds and dosages at each meeting. Not sure what the regs in each state are.
