Is there a Medicare or Medicaid provision to allow a person to pay a spouse for help?
Help them stay out of an institution.

In New York, they have a program called CDPAP. It won't pay a spouse but will pay adult kids. Maybe your state has something similar.

Medicaid Waiver will help keep you at home, but not by paying the spouse.
