How to get Alzheimer's husband into respite at ALF?

I can get two weeks of respite care through Medicaid for my Alz husband. I plan to visit several of them soon In the event I just need a weekend or a vacation by myself. My issue is how to I get him there. He is very aware of his surroundings and clings to me all the time. I am concerned he may act up and they will not keep him and I do not know how to get him there. What should I say, what do I do to get him there
