What to do?

Can someone plz help me understand im 38 my father is 52 and had prostate cancet which is now in his bones everywhere my mom is healthy and taking care if him im in florida their in tx anyway talking to my mom about his illness is hard and she wont say much she is doin it on her own and wont let us kids help much my point is whwn i ask for any information w my dadshe gives a little them shuts down im his only daughter and im so helpless w this i work in the medical field and know lil about cancer and well trying to ask mom about the facts w my dad is not goin easy she wont talkwhat do i do how can i help and be there for her w me and just flat out shuts down

Are the ages correct in your posting? I realize it's not always easy to text questions. Anyway, Google "Bone Cancer" and you will find a lot of informative material from established websites.

My sig other's father had the same type of cancer that eventually went into his bones. Could be your mother doesn't want to worry you about his condition, and that is understandable. My advise is to learn all you can about this type of cancer, that way you will on board knowing what could be happening next. And then maybe your mother will open up to your dad's condition if she knows you understand the different stages of cancer.
