Any dementia agency specialize in-home care for spouse?

Does your work's human services dept have any helps for this? Depending on the company, some will have leads to child care, substance abuse programs, domestic violence interventions, and elder care referrals. Hint: there are many very good private caregivers, don't rule out the possibility that a perfect caregiver only works independent of agencies. If you read the boards here you will discover why many well-qualified CG's have gone private. We have had both, and currently have a wonderful private CG. Some day maybe we go back to an agency, or add an agency CG.....there are many possible solutions, including private.

Is there a difference between a diagnosis and an opinion that a patient has dementia? Who is qualified to make such a determination? Haven't there been advances in the field of brain research that requires updated education and training by medical professionals. Is it fair to say that there some doctors out there who aren't up to date or qualified to make such medical judgments?
