I have one that was given to us by the medical alert company for free. We've never used it, and right now, I can't even find the code for the box and I've forgotten what it is. Go figure. If you're going to get one, make sure you put the code in a secure place! I thought I knew what it was, but it won't open, so I need to ransack the house and find the code.
I have aging parents that are want to remain in their home. I have looked for a more "purpose built" lock box but have only come across the Knox which is expensive and in my opinion, ugly. I work for a company that makes locks and was considering approaching them to make a unit made specifically for that purpose.
We got mom a numeric lock on her front door. We made the combination her birthday so that it was easy to remember. It was also able to be opened with a key.
