My Dad was having Parkinson's disease, was suspected of TB after routine checkups has been confirmed the same. We suspected him to faint on two ocassions. Last sunday, he was restless and we had admitted him. From the emergency cell he was rushed to the icu, where he is in ventilator support. The doctors have said that he has caught jaundice and the first line of dosage for tb was replaced with the second line. Now we are told that he has caught septicemia. The ventilator support is still on, his bp and tempragure have normalised. The respiration still remains high at around 26 to 32. Please advise how much time do such patients take to recover, as also how to know when the ventilator support can be removed for him to recuperate in the normal cabin.
