Even though my mother was living with us, her monthly income was low enough that she qualified for respite care for 2 weeks at a very small out of pocket amount...we used those weeks for time for ourselves and a visit with our kids and grandchildren...try contacting the county division of aging where you live
Does your mother qualify for Medicaid? The State might allow a trained Caregiver from an Agency to come in to help a couple hours a day. Each State has their own rules, regulations, and programs.
