I would prefer the real thing (the plant, smoked or cooked into bakery items) over any chemically laced pharmaceutical. Medical marijuana doesn't have to be smoked, you can get brownies or cakes or other items with it cooked in, and it definitely works. Marinol is not natural, it is man-made, has side effects and cannot be taken with any medications in the following classes: stimulants, diet pills, cold medicine, pain medication, muscle relaxers, and medicine for seizures, depression, anxiety, mental illness, or Parkinson's disease. It's also hard on the liver and is addictive. Why take something unnatural?
I am all for medical cannabis. Most people want a prescription drug though, because insurance will pay for it and not the cannabis. Hard telling what side effects go along with Marinol.
Yes - I have personal experience and lots of feedback from others, too. It does not work, really. Perhaps it might help, but you'd be better off joining a collective and using cannabis edibles, if you are in a jurisdiction that permits medical marijuana use. Those DO work.
