Where to find help with services for my parents, both 89 and living independently in Santa Paula?
I once contacted a woman through the service center in Camarillo who will, for a price, help us plan care for the last years. I had to back off for lack of funds, but I'm desperate now. NEED HELP!
My only advise is if one or the other of them, is ever hospitalized make certain that you get the advice that you need, then. It is easier to get them placed in a care facility, if they are already in the hospital. You just need to keep telling the doctors, that they can't live alone. Good luck. I have been there.
Contact your county agency on aging for programs, such as Case Management, Meals on Wheels, Adult Day Care, housing, care referrals, etc,... go to the website link below.... click on your State.... now click on the city/county. https://www.agingcare.com/local/Area-Agency-on-Aging
