I live on the Oregon coast but most of my doctors are in Portland. Oregon is the number 1 state for pain killer abuse so it is difficult to obtain painkillers, however you should ask your doctor or your parents doctor to get you into a pain clinic where they monitor the patient for painkillers and also have alternative forms of pain management. Also look into hospice as suggested by the other person. Hospice doesn't mean your parent is dying. Hospice is helpful to make them comfortable at the end of their life and it's all about the patient and that should help you. if I knew who the painkillers were for I could suggest a doctor for you but I am Not sure. Maybe try your County Health Department or the Providence health care system or Samaritan healthcare system for a doctor recommendation.

What about hospice? My father was on hospice and they were very helpful in getting pain medication for him.

Curious, is the pain medicine for you or for your mother? If for your mother, what is your mother's age? What is the reason that your current doctor will not prescribed any pain medicine? What other pills are been taking that might interfere with any type of pain medicine?
