Has anyone ever used a foam-in-place seating (FIPS) for wheelchair patients?

My siblings are considering purchasing this for our soon-to-be 97 year old mother. She has suffered 3 to 4 strokes in the past 7 months and is in steady decline. She lives at home under the full time care of my brothers and sister-in-law, with part-time paid care givers. She also has had hospice care since last October. It looks like a great idea. I am interested in how well received it is by the wheelchair sitter. Mom is super paranoid about anything new.

OK who will determine the type of foam to be used? Who will mix the ingredients and do the mold? This can be a pretty complicated project and not really a good DIY job to attempt. Personally I would be looking at memory foam or gel pad or air cushion instead. But it's a nice thought.
