My Mom has severe Alzheimer's, can't talk or walk. How do you know how much longer she has to live?
Very hard to take care of or move--hospice has helped me at home--would just like her to be at peace and in heaven. I'm considering a home -I've had her 6yrs.
Talk to the Hospice nurses. If she is still eating, she will go on smoothly. When she stops eating you are close to the end. When she stops drinking, just days.
Well, we've had mom here for 9 years and she's nowhere near the end, so I don't know what the timeline is. I would say that the hospice nurses would be able to help you since this is their area of expertise. I'm sorry that your mom is failing, just stay strong.
