Hi my name is Josie. I have a question on what to do to find out what was in both of my grandparents Will and my inheritance. I KNOW they left me and my sisters money and valuables since my father talked about it ALL the time before he moved to china and left (before both died/ still lives there). My aunt told us we got nothing while her and her children got EVERYTHING. I'm not sure I can get anything now since its been years since the both of them died. I'm older now and angry that she lied and i just want to know the truth. What should i do? How can i find out what is mine? I live in North Carolina while my dads side of the family lives in South Carolina. I don't know where to start or what to do. Please help me. Also I know she left me and my sisters a college fund which would be in the will, under my name and theirs, could she take that money? and if we were just labeled without our names could she still take that money? and one last question, since its been years is there a time limit where she will get the money if i dont claim it after so long?

First find out the facts about the will. If you were remembered in a will, then you are, in my opinion, in fairly good shape. You have just reached the age of majority.
You can go to legal aid and/or the District Attorney if indeed someone has stolen
from you. While you may feel it is wrong to taken action against another, and of course it is your decision, think of it like this. If you decide not to, the person, if the person did this, who acted against you will be emboldened, perhaps steal again and steal more. They might get caught for a greater offense and go to jail. If stopped now, should this be the case, you might be saving them from a worse fate. Just a thought. Good luck.
