If Mom receives CA Medicaid. Do I have to provide details of my bank and financial status even though she manages her finances separately?

Medicaid/Medicare sent ME a form demanding I give complete details about my financial status, income, hime ownership etc!! Stating they will cross reference everything!! Do they have a right to snoop into my business...she lives in my house because she cannot drive but is very independent and coherent!
