Caring for brother with Parkinson's and his wife with Alzheimer and asthma. Any governmental financial help available?
Both ailing relatives live with me--I provide room and board, transportation to medical and dental appointments, essentially care for them 24/7. Can I be compensated by the government as an elder care facility or caregiver?
That’s a very common question asking about being paid. Majority of people do not get paid for caring for relatives, unless the patient is financially able to pay from their own pocket. If a patient can afford to pay you, the patient might as well hire a certified trained caregiver allowing you to keep or look for a full-time job.

Also check to see if your State is one of those States that has a “Cash and Counseling” program to help you out, it‘s worth looking into. Note that each State has their own rules, regulations, and programs.
