Can a caregiver from Catholic Social services come out to the house while I go out and do errands or if I want to go out for 2 hrs at night?

My father is coming home this Wednesday on 9/30/15 from a rehab and they told me that he cannot be left home alone because he might fall. He is recovering from pheumonia and congestive heart failure. He was hospitalized last month for 12 days and then sent to a rehab for a month. There are days during the week when I have to run errands like going to the market, etc. and I need someone to be at home with my father when I leave the house.
