I went to the store and when I got back the dishes had been done, he had taken a shower and fed our little dog! I know this won't last but I am wondering if the medication can have this much effect on him. I guess I am wondering when the other shoe will fall.....trying to enjoy this day. This is the old person I married. WOW.

My Mom has been on and off and now back on seroquel, and it has calmed her whenever she was taking it. Other meds weren't helping.

My cousin's behavior never ceases to amaze me. She has VD mixed with AD. She acts quite different when not on Cymbalta. When not on that medication she is extremely anxious, crying, and consumed with worry. One day she doesn't even recognize my mom, who has been her closest cousin (I'm her second cousin) since childhood and the next time I mentioned my mom, she knew my mom's name.
A couple of weeks ago my cousin was being quite verbal and insisted we go to a church service at the Memory Care facility. She seemed to enjoy the service and knew the words to all the songs. However, last week when I called her she told me she was in a funeral home in a county near her home. (She was in the Memory Care unit and has been for almost a year.) She had no details but needed my help at the funeral home. I said fine, I'd come and help her over the weekend. She said, Great, I appreciate it.
I've learned to adjust my expectations and not expect anything. I would be careful to not let your guard down. All measures of protection and safeguard should be kept in place. I'm sure the good times are precious memories you will hold forever and give you strength through the hard times.
Perhaps you'll get more comments from those who have more experience with this medication.
