I am on Medicaid in Ohio. I do not receive food assistance. Is there a law stating that a trust cannot reimburse food purchases?

Up until this Month, for the last 2 years, my trust has paid me back for grocery purchases, now they say they won't. What does the law state on this issue?

You best ask an attorney.

Who's "they"? Whose trust? What kind of trust? You're asking for a legal opinion that requires some statutory research, so you'll need to provide more information.

My nephew has a "Special Needs Trust". Whether on SSI or SSD (which he is on), his trust cannot be used for lodging or food. That is what SSI and SSD cover. Have you tried for food stamps. Check with who is trustee. Ask what the trust can pay. In my nephews case it can pay for cell phones and entertainment and a few other things.
