My Dad (82) lives with me. Can I use his Medicaid spend down money for a handicapped bathroom?

My Dad (82) applied for Medicaid, decline to mush money,about 26000 need to spent down. I own the home,He pays rent. Thanks

NOPE. That would be a capital improvement and therefore a gift that triggers a penalty. Use that money to get him in on private pay if you can, he will get a nicer facility.
