Does your mom have dementia or do you feel she cannot or should not live alone? If you find a place you like, ask whether you and your mom can stay there for a week or so to see if you like it. My husband, who had Parkinson's, and I had an unpleasant experience in one. I imagine few assisted living places are like that. You can find reviews of assisted living places online, along with reviews and comments.
Go to the top right corner of this page... you will see SEARCH SITE.... type in Assisted Living and your zip code. You should see a list of places in your area. If none, then change the zip code to the largest city closest to you.
Do you plan to live with your Mom, not all facilities are equipped for caregivers to live-in. Or will you be helping just during the day? Or an hour here or there? Some facilities will allow outside help and some prefer to use their own Staff as the caregivers as you are paying for that help in the monthly rent.
